We are going to start doing weekly film screenings at Fools Foundation (at 19th and K by Old Spaghetti Factory) on Fridays at 7.
First thing we're showing on Sept. 8 is We Jam Econo: The Story of the Minutemen. $5 gets you in. We're going to be showing more punk docs coming up, too. It's all very low rent (digital projection on to an 8x8 screen, folding chairs, etc). And it's all legit, as we are paying filmmakers.(awesome!-Jose) Thought this might be of interest. The second lecture in our Pop Culture Series asks the question, “What is Punk?” Join us for a discussion that will include the origin of Punk, its current state and more. Check out a film with the Contemporaries on Saturday, August 26 to further explore Punk in Pop Culture.
