Stop U.N. Gun Ban: "IANSA’s long-term objective is a worldwide gun ban, which would be
enforced against the U.S. In her generosity, Peters would allow
selected Americans to prove that they need a single-shot rifle—with a

Korean War vet, 74, shoots knife-wielding burglar

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. A burglar picked the wrong East St. Louis home to break into early yesterday morning -- and it wound up getting him shot.
Seventy-four-year-old William Brown says he woke up to find the alleged burglar standing in his bedroom doorway holding a knife and threatening him not to move.

But instead of staying still, Brown -- who says he's a Korean War veteran -- reached down under his pillow and came up firing a Smith and Wesson.

Brown says he thinks he shot the man three or four times before he escaped.

East St. Louis police caught the man shortly afterward. They did not release his name or his condition.

Brown, meanwhile, said the home invasion messed up his whole day.
